Interesting abstract take on this. I'm sure you've gotten a few DNMC comments but I like the movement that is conveyed with the lines. Maybe it doesn't say speed to me per se but definitely motion.

hi all thank you for your kind comments, and for those who tried to push this for blue ribbon. There's always next time. i have to say, after getting this 4th, i truly appreciate the effort and creativity that people put in to meet these challenges theme and deadlines. I have so many nice photos that have won awards in my country and on the international stage, but of course i cant submit them. Which is why the people who have won ribbons and top 10-20, and those who will do in the future, i take my hat of for all of you.

This photo shoot was actually of a wedding client of mine who was kind enough to volunteer to be my model. i cant wait for their weddings to come because i have so many great ideas for their days. their pictures will be stunning.

processing is just raw conversion, channel mixing and lots of curves and colour balance. i think in all there are around 15 layers.

Well I followed your advice - let my mind flow freely, and it flowed out, looked around, peeked behind the sofa, stared out the window and finally came back. However I still have no idea what this is, or symbolises.

It looks like an interesting abstract - but does it convey speed to me ? Not really. I shall let my mind out for another little wander later and see if that helps at all :- )
