The contrast is great, as your title suggests :) I would have liked the focus to be close to the front of the photo rather than the back.

I may not be getting it, but this doesn't look natural. This is a nice shot, with the exception of blown and covered up hilights, but i just think it's something man-made, whatever it is. An alien mask?
