Alone In A Crowdby bvyComment by pawdrix: Good thing you didn't clone it out. If you did, you would only be appeasing the knuckleheads that get ADD when viewing images. If the "One" is there...that's where it belongs. In fact, it adds to the image.
Looks like the dude is picking "One" hell of a winner. |

Crossing Libertyby bvyComment by tnun: Amazing. The face, the posture, the background. The face tells me he is dapper almost more than the suit, and I don't need to see more of the strut. (Enjoy all your pics, and also imagining your technique - beyond what you tell us). |

Like Dadby bvyComment by HeiSch: I am sure this picture means a lot to you. What are other viewers seeing? A boy goin next to a man. THey seem unrelated, they are not facing eachother, they are not interacting at all. Both bodies seem very soft. |

The Poetby bvyComment by tnun: That is some shot of some people. (This is lovely BW and mood, and particularly resonates with a lingering impression I have of e e cummings many many years ago reading at a lectern lit only by a gooseneck lamp shining on his bald head). |

Bag Ladiesby bvyComment by tnun: Very impressed at getting this all unbeknownst, and at the angle. Processing seems to fit. |

Bag Ladiesby bvyComment by bvy: Originally posted by crik: Did you purposely try for that slant

Luck of the shot. I would have liked it not so intense.
Originally posted by Maggye: pretty cool!!! would you mind explaining a bit more about cross-processing.. (sorry my knowledge in photoshop is basic), I really like the results on this one ;) |
Cross processing is an old darkroom technique of using the wrong processing chemicals to produce wild (but predicatable) color variations. It can be simulated in digital image processing, though this isn't the best example of it. Check out this tutorial.

Thanks. I see it primarily in the right lady's shirt. I struggled with that. Noise reduction only seemed to make it worse, so I left it. |

Bag Ladiesby bvyComment by crik: Works well for a candid. The heightened colors and expressions
do get the viewers interst. Did you purposely try for that slant
angle or was it just the result of shooting from the hip? |
