I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I kind of like this image, the way it reminds us of a little-looked-at world the rolls under our feet as we go about out business. You have managed to communicate texture to us in a very effective way.

Critical stuff: Given the elements of the image and the limited interest in the scene, I don't find the framing adds much. I was one of he things that you, as a photographer, could have and should have optimised to get the most out of the scene.

Overall: OK as far as it goes; and I do like the premise of the image; but in the final analysis, I'm not sure the whole delivers enough to be successful.

Maybe more macro would have worked better - I do like how the pink from the ticket ties in with the pink of the petals(?)

I couldn't figure out what the main subject of the photo was until I read the title. In fact, I didn't even see the ticket until then. Maybe some vignetting or selective focusing could have helped me out.

I like the simplicity of this shot. I think if you put the in the cross hairs of the rule of thirds then the focus would be more on hte ticket. Also if that stick wasn't there would help I think. My eyes kept moving back to the stick. Great idea. Tones were complimentary.
