The strong yellow and brown combination and all lines to the center in the flower make for a very striking image. I am curious about the shooting data on this one. The overall sharpness makes me think that it was shot at f11 or 16.

Didn't use the flash (I know it looks like I did) as it was noon. I also noticed a bit of purple fringing on it. I had the f-stop at 11 - the ISO at 200 and the shutter speed at 1/400.

Maybe the ISO should have been at 100 - I also didn't open it in light room .. might have been able to get rid of that hot spot?

I need to practice more for sure and appreciate the comment as I would like to get better at macro.

I really like the colors and smoothness of the background and think that the focus and depth of field is pretty good on this shot. I might have turned the flash down just a touch. How do you have your flash set up on this one? On board flash? Hotshoe? Any modifiers?
