I don't know what to think about this image. It's sad for sure. Little guy got hit on the road going after the ball. It's a bit dark and I think the vignette is not allowed unless it was shot at night with another light source. It's a good concept I guess. Making me feel different things.

I disagree with this DQ, as many people have used effect filters before. Take a look at the Impressionism 2 challenge for many images that were not Dq'ed using similar heavy handed PS techniques. I will add though that that challenge was run under different version of the Advanced Editing rules so perhaps this there was some changes. but I am surprised to see this decision.

I really like how the shadows in the grasses give them such a great texture. And those big cotton ball white clouds just make the background feel gigantic. Nice placement of the people in the thirds. Great PP to make a nostalgic feel!

The grain (a screen I'm supposing) is terrific. Love the tones and the light as well. I know that all fine art is supposed to be framed but I think this would be just as good without it (MY opinion, of course).
