 Sorry, it wasn't shot through a screen. That's vertical and horizontal grain. Thanks for the wonderful comments though. =)

I disagree with this DQ, as many people have used effect filters before. Take a look at the Impressionism 2 challenge for many images that were not Dq'ed using similar heavy handed PS techniques. I will add though that that challenge was run under different version of the Advanced Editing rules so perhaps this there was some changes. but I am surprised to see this decision.

The grain (a screen I'm supposing) is terrific. Love the tones and the light as well. I know that all fine art is supposed to be framed but I think this would be just as good without it (MY opinion, of course).
Oh - and you live in an awesomely lovely place.

Fantastic image. I love the subject, the processing and the composition. I'm not real fond of the border but it's still worth a 10 in my book.

I assume you shot this through some fabric rather than use an overlay. Nice looking picture
