On the right track to suggest personification with the mask. The shot isn't quite as tack sharp as DPC voters tend to like, but the nice tight composition reinforces the sense of intimacy it appears you were trying to evoke. While this particular shot might not do well, I see some talent here that should garner better scores in other challenges. An extra point for encouragement! :)

I really like how you composed this. The flow of the land, with the fields and fences really seems to compliment the two cows. That black and white cow kind of makes me laugh, like there's some sort of punchline that just hasn't come to me yet!

...and the bird on the fence is brilliant!

That cow is cracking me up. She looks like one of those cows off the cheese commercial and I am waiting for her to show teeth and say cheese. This landscape is very very nice and your horizon is not tilted either :)
