Varying blur goood. Relatively sharp on one girl veerrryyy gooood. :) I'd suggest taking a little off the top - it's kind of empty.

Very nice! Centering her works - the Dad balances nicely against the person on the diving board. If you know them, offer them a print. :)

I like the sharp ball a lot. I also like the story and everything from the dog to the left. I'd just bring in the right edge to just right of the dog. That'll lend some balance. The problem, often, with centered compositions is that they invite comparisons across that central line. Here, you have the boy balanced against not much. With the right edge moved over, you have the dog on the right balancing the boy on the left. It also keeps attention where you want it, as opposed to wandering over to the right in this composition.

I like the blur effect. Try it against a simpler background - it kind of gets lost here.

Ain't it the truth? If the kid misses, it's Dad's fault. :) Nice composition!

Ha! I didn't even realize that was two bugs until I read your comments. I thought it was a reflection. I think it's interesting how such a nicely blurred shot still shows such a sharp glossy reflecting look in the shell.
