Well... I think that was a neat choice, although a stretch of famous.. As for your execution, this is not as good as the original, although it is a nice try..

I think a slightly harder light source (more focused) would have helped, as it is, this looks too soft and too magenta.. 6

I try this shot everytime I go to DC. This is better conceptualized than any I've done. I love the composition and really love the left train windows showing the passengers and the great perspective. The lighting is a treat as well. Big congrats on your red ribbon, Raj! (I agree with LydiaToo: I've been told the security hazard with tripods is tripping. Also at 30th Street Station in Philadelphia, you can shoot inside but not downstairs where the trains are.)

This is a great shot and well deserved ribbon. Unfortunately, dealing with security has become a challenge for most photographers shooting in public places these days. I am not at all surprised you were approached and shadowed by these guys.

Great photo.
I love the lines on the ceiling and the trains in parallel.
Also the clear limages on the people in the other train.
I've been there many times, this is great photo of the Metro Center station.
