Nice effect with the trees and houses all in the shadows, but with the title blue skies I would expect to see a much bluer looking sky. But over all the effect is neat.6.

What can I say... my fav pick of the challenge! I'm usually not too keen on cloudy skys but it fits the them perfectly. Of course cropping is by the traditional rule of 3rds and your eye just kinda sneek off to the Eiffel Tower in the back ground. SUPERB!

The colors looks a bit muddied here. I wonder if the water always looks like that, and if a level adjustment could have made it look less muddy. To show you what I'm talking about, I wanted to send you these links to a couple photos I've critiqued in the past. I will say the same thing about your shot that I did the other, I think it would look better in black and white.
