This would have been great for the dichotomy challenge -- those high, fluffy clouds, and the more solid rain clouds that are producing the rainbows.

Almost a case of half a double being better than a whole one as I love the way they stand out against the ominous cloud (especially the lower one) and then just disappear into nothing as the sky turns a beautiful blue

Very nice rainbow shot with that wonderful sky.
There's a discussion that's been going on in the newspaper for a couple of weeks about making rainbows seem to disappear. That is, if you stare fixedly at one for 15 seconds or so, it will seem to vanish, then reappear when you blink your eyes or shift your gaze.

Gorgeous shot! The sky is so nice & blue & the double rainbow is really nice & clear too. Too bad you couldn't have gotten the whole thing but this makes for a nice shot all in itself!
