roll, roll, roll in the dirtby cginoComment by pixelpig: That looks like a very happy cat & you are such a good friend to hang around outside for a couple of hours. Soon, he will be all well & zooming around as usual. Plus, this is a very cool shot! |

They have the same personality, at least from what I've read in your posts. I'm just glad he wasn't hurt worse and if it was a dog it probably got some major scratches on its nose. We have a leash law around here but occasionally a dog gets loose and trees any cats who happen to be wandering about. One of my cats actually spent 3 days and 2 nights in a tree because he was afraid to come down. He finally jumped off a branch into a thicket when a repairman on a ladder tried to get him down.
Please keep us updated on Timone's progress with his new bandage and neck cone! |

Window Viewby cginoComment by Jutilda: I understand totally about prey drive in dogs. I don't think it necessarily makes the dog bad, but the responsible owners need to keep their dogs inside a yard or on a leash. You can't blame a dog for being a dog but you can certainly blame an owner for not taking care to keep the other animals around them safe. I am so sorry that Timone was injured. I am seeing the whole world reflected in his eye. Something very symbolic about that. My Crockett (who we lost in December) had horrible prey drive. I had to be very vigilant about small animals and even our cat. Being a herding dog, the instinct just went into overdrive and turned into a prey thing. With humans he was the gentlest and kindest. I miss him.
Best of wishes to your beloved kitty. I hope he weathers the storm and you can return soon to your bed, and get off the couch. :~) HUGS |
