A 36k file size tells me the main reason this shot isn't working for me. There is a lack of clarity to this photo and I think most of it is due to the use of excessive JPEG compression. That compression is what is robbing a lot of the detail and sharpness from this image. I can see visible artifacts and halos around the edges between the white and red, but it is hurting the entire image. Check your compression settings when you save your file. Always adjust JPEG compression so that your file size is as large as possible, but within the challenge limit. (200k for this one)

I like the focus on the treetop, but you didn't have to make the background that blurry. You could take the sharpness up a couple of notches and it wouldn't take away from the main point.
