I like this simple and effective shot, though for me it would have been more so if the shadow was in focus instead of the cutter. The cookie cutter is "form" and the shadow is "shape".

Clever idea! General visual clarity is pretty good. Communicative clarity is great! To add some 'zip' to this, experiment with the angles of the shadows (it's fairly horizontal now), and perhaps point of view. Using diagonals will add some drama, and the point of view could help, too.

Technical: Most all images submitted fit the challenge. This does well. Exposure composition focus lighting all good. That is a nearly perfect example of garlic- nice choice! :-)

Personal: I like it. It's simple!
