Learning To Flyby DiversqComment by mariomel: Nice capture, but I find the DOF too narrow. I would have liked to see a blury yet more discernable grass above and below him. |

Shrinkage At 49 Degreesby DiversqComment by magnus: Never seen a strobe flash used for this purpose, very imaginative! I particularly like the simplicity, nothing other than the edge of the pier/wall on the left and the splash on the right. |

Learning To Flyby DiversqComment by frisca: Great shot -- the bird has somewhere to go, but the DOF seems too shallow. You can see the strip that is in focus, and the head of the bird is outside that range. |

Learning To Flyby DiversqComment by adine: Baby blue jay! The dof works so well here - the clear path in the grass where the bird is looking guides both the flying lesson and the viewers eye. lovely. |

Shrinkage At 49 Degreesby DiversqComment by ozdick: 49C !! I feel your chill - looks like you also had to do this a few times to get the shot right too. BRRRR
Would have liked to have seen just one more on the left as you were leaving the pier. Not the best photo on here, but certainly one of the most original and have to applaud you for that |

Learning To Flyby DiversqComment by bod: I absolutely love the tight DoF on this. The strip of grass in front of the bird is fantastic - looks like you've marked out the path it will follow. Maybe too close to the edge of frame? Dunno. I reckon it would look superb either way. 10 |
