Retiredby melismaticaComment by posthumous: Nice shot. I think it would have scored higher except that DPCers seem to prefer rough to smooth. :) |

Opieby melismaticaComment by admart01: My dog bikkie and your Opie have the same soulful eyes -- even to the extent that the right differs from the left in the same way. How old is he? |

Retiredby melismaticaComment by admart01: you've used light so well here -- the pink tones are still true but the low key setting creates the somber mood. one of my ribbon picks |

It's Cyndi Sherman
I don't mind the Warhol reference at all. :D |

"Romeo" is a funny addition into the Best of 2002 challenge. I love fun shots, that is what I was really expecting from the 2002 challenge.
This piece itself is nice. I wish your husband was in focus but heck it is just a great shot. The lighting is interesting how it is just capturing him from the right hand side of the image. I like the border it makes the photograph feel more complete, also a nice addition since the windows are framed. Overall I think this was a fun photo and I am glad you entered it. I can obviously tell from your portfolio that your technical skills have greatly improve and your creativity is still present! |

Blue on Fulton Streetby melismaticaComment by espy2: I'm not much for receiving or giving comments, but since Candids are near and dear to my heart, I have decided to give comment on every entry in this challenge.
This is just ok. Lots of dead space, which really does very little for me. I see no emotion, no story, nothing unexpected, or any wow factors as a candid shot. It's just ok. A 3 from me. |

Blue on Fulton Streetby melismaticaComment by Jutilda: Great use of blue. I like his off centeredness. The leading line of the curb works with the perpendicular line of the stones around the building creating some neat geometry. Well done! 8 |

Retiredby melismaticaComment by wsteyn: I like this composition. I can see you wanted the image to be dark, but I think a little more contrast would do better. |
