Too Lateby hhuddleComment by geinafets: I find the white spot at the top too distracting. I think a closer (but not too close--just enough to give a definite "subject") shot of the spray paint can or the electrical outlet would have helped focus the attention of the viewer. |

Too Lateby hhuddleComment by NiallOTuama: I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. But I think this kind of shot would have more impact if as much as possible was in focus. Or perhaps it's a cropping issue? Either way it's my own opinion :)
I'm not sure how industrial it is, but I see a bare plug on the top right and that's enough for me! I like this shot. |

Live and Breatheby hhuddleComment by vawendy: Very nice shot. I think I would have liked it better cropped in from the left and the top. (sorry to recommend rule of thirds, but I don't think that the branches on the left add a a lot, and with the selective desat, it's an awful lot of b&w and not so much bird.) 7 as is, 8 or 9 cropped down. |

Live and Breatheby hhuddleComment by giantmike: I'm not normally a fan of selective desaturation, but I think this one is done well. I think it's because the B&W brings out all the details of the branch, while focusing the eyes on the bird. |
