| Very nice shot. I think I would have liked it better cropped in from the left and the top. (sorry to recommend rule of thirds, but I don't think that the branches on the left add a a lot, and with the selective desat, it's an awful lot of b&w and not so much bird.) 7 as is, 8 or 9 cropped down. |

| I'm not normally a fan of selective desaturation, but I think this one is done well. I think it's because the B&W brings out all the details of the branch, while focusing the eyes on the bird. |
