My Self Portrait 2 027.jpgby bennettjamieComment by Fromac: I agree that this is the best of the series. It feels fun and spontaneous. The detail is pretty sharp, the composition is good.
My only suggestion would be to crop a little tighter to remove the post and shoes from the right side of the photo.
Nice work! |

Water Droplet Rose.jpgby bennettjamieComment by PapaBob: Overall the rose is very nice, some improvement IMHO might be the crop it is somewaht centered and just lacks a little pizazz. The lighting is OK but the leaves on the right side are a little bright and stand out more than they probably should. |

Me - Re-edit by bennettjamieComment by Mambe: I prefer this crop , the photo is much more interesting than in the first edition.
Blur could be good for portraits but too much blur in your face in my opinion.
If it was to "mask" some details you don't like of your face there are other methods (cloning by example) , the truth is that you have a lovely face and I really like the expression. |

Me - Re-edit by bennettjamieComment by trevytrev: Again I like the pose but the blur causes the illusion that the photo is oof. I see that you are masking the eyes back in to leave them sharp, which is a good idea but the rest of the image is so blurred it looks unnatural. I might decrease the blur and mask back in the eyes, mouth and some edges on the face and body. I would also decrease the vignette to make it a bit more subtle. just my opinion, Trevor~ |

Me -Re-Editby bennettjamieComment by trevytrev: I like the pose but the blur seems overdone and makes the image appears oof. I would decrease the vignette that you used as well. I would duplicate the background layer and add the blur to that layer, then decrease the opacity until you get the desired result. you can even change the blending modes to change the effect of the blur on the image. Hope that helps. Trevor~ |

Spilled Iceby bennettjamieComment by loseme: I think you had a cool idea. I wish more was in focus or maybe shot from a little bit lower of an angle. |

Spilled Iceby bennettjamieComment by Yo_Spiff: Simple and effective. Some better DOF would have helped it. I see evidence of a treatment I like to use as well. |
