126_Me7.jpgby bennettjamieComment by littlegett: I wana play with this image. I understand your use with the heal/blur tools, however, there are really strong lines to where it was used. I personally find those distracting. I do enjoy the close up image yet, what if you had a bit of a smirk? hmm that would be nice. Not much, just a touch. |

044_me5.jpgby bennettjamieComment by Tez: I like this one the most... not sure about the chair cover though. The dress, hair and expression make me think you should be holding a cigarette in a cigarette holder and sitting on a more luxurious or plush chais longe. It kind of looks like a painters sheet after a tough job.
Also, maybe if you had zoomed out and got the bottom of the chair in there?
The lighting is great, the focus is great and the detail spot on. Editing is cool too. Maybe a harder, more dramatic light would have worked better? But that's just me... i have a weird penchant for hard light. |

041_Me1.jpgby bennettjamieComment by dwterry: Skin tones are lighter/better here than in #055. Might be good to reduce saturation just a bit though.
I keep wondering about the pose ... maybe sitting up a little straighter would help? Also, turn your head slightly more towards the camera so that the far eye (your right eye in this instance) is complete. Right now it is partially blocked by your nose on one side, and left hanging (no skin to surround it) on the other side. It'll only require that you turn your head slightly to correct both issues. |

055_Me2.jpgby bennettjamieComment by dwterry: For one thing, I like that you still have texture in your skin. To many people PS-the-heck out of skin and turn it plastic. I do, however, think you could lighten the skin up a bit (perhaps the overall picture could use a bump in Curves to bring the lighting up). I'd also get rid of the redness that is in your eye.
Actually, thinking along different lines... try this one in B&W and see what you get.

173_Dennis1_edited-1.jpgby bennettjamieComment by david_c: Perhaps you could try some targetted unsharp mask on your subject? Maybe my eyes are just getting old, but there seems to be some pixel softness there. Try a selecting the subject (doesn't need to be a perfect selection) and apply USM at 150%, 0.3, 1. See what it looks like from there. |

226.jpgby bennettjamieComment by rob_smith: Probably the best of the shoot, great pose and smile, good lighting (not harsh or too sunny), and a good blurry background.
If you start recording your camera settings with each photograph and then you can learn more about what worked at the time.
Hope this helps. |

Krissy-3-7991.jpgby bennettjamieComment by rob_smith: I think this is the best photo of the shoot, very natural looking pose and great backround.
The only comment I could make to improve is to maybe take these sort of shots in the morning or dusk daylight as it has a less harsh quality of sunlight. |
