Fireworksby dd1989Comment by bassbone: nice fireworks - it seems that the negative space above is unnecessary but the ground below would be really beneficial to the shot |

Lavender in the Gardenby dd1989Comment by Maggye: **Greetings from the critic club***
I think you did a good job in use a narrow DOF, isolating you subject and making it stand out. By looking at you setting I can see that you were shooting in low light, wich has caused some noise on your background, I would also have prefered a smother transition between the two colors. Sometimes it's better to wait for a better light condition, so you can use a lower ISO and a faster shutter wich will allow you to get a sharper image.
Now about the composition, I think is pleasing, but it might work better if you fill the frame a bit more with your subject and moving it a little bit more to one of the sides, instead of entering the frame exactly by the corner.
I hope this helps. Message edited by author 2008-09-22 20:55:02. |

Welcome to Scotland by dd1989Comment by bassbone: the parting lines of light bisecting the flags is actually pretty cool - at first, i really voted this down, but I like it more the second time viewing... |

At the seasideby dd1989Comment by 3DsArcher: This has probably got to be one of the funniest DQ's I have ever seen at dpc. That's what I call getting DQ'ed in style. Message edited by author 2008-09-18 23:21:39. |
