Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment by e301: Only that brief reflection of the leg of the chair (?) suggests anything to do with texture here. Quite intriguing contrast of patterns of light and shade, with the shadow and the laying of wood, but texture it ain't, I'm afraid. |

Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment by Claya: For most of the texture shots I think B&W is the way to go, but not this one. I think color of wood would have actually added to this. |

Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment by jpochard: I like this. I think I would have liked it better in color, but not sure. I even like the leg of whatever that is at the top right, but not sure others would agree. |

Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment by Melina: interesting light, well suited to monochrome. good tonal range. Not the most interesting picture I have seen but technically very good. OVerall composition is well balanced. |

Sunlight Hardwoodby cooliakComment by soccerdad: Great shadows, but, the floor looks smother than it could (which I think would have made a nice cross pattern on your great shadows.) |

Half Full or Half Emptyby cooliakComment by wingy: Well, given the rounded bottom and portion of bottom that is solid glass I'd say this is quite a bit less than half full. Interesting take on the challenge though. The shot is a nice simple attempt but with this kind of simplicity you need to get rid of the dust and dirt spots and get your lighitng just right to give it some more impact. |
