The Competition by romilComment by SwordandScales: Truly, an excellent street shot. What gives it away as a winner is that fact that many of us recognize this scene, but probably rarely see it, particularly outside of fiction (film). What's beautiful is that we have so many players in a two man game. There's obviously the two competitors, at it so intensely they have probably forgotten the crowd behind them. Then there is this classic, smug character sitting right next to them, and his buddy not far off, looking on with far more humility and curiosity. It's all so evident right there in the faces of your subjects. Beyond that, we have a crowd, interacting on its own levels, even in the shadows, conversation grows.
Absolutely wonderful photography, although, I gave you a 9 and not a 10, reason being that the technical aspects could be a tad better. So close to perfect, and the winner for this competition in my opinion. Just classic. |
