Treeby SonifoComment by JPR: SImply beautiful. I could see this as a huge painting on my wall. Only problem I can see is with the crop? I can't see a reason for not cropping the bottom up to the bottom of the stem/branch. 9 |

Gazing...to be a Star!by SonifoComment by JPR: Great job. What I found particularly appealing about this photo was the connection between the lighting and the title, esp. given the challenge theme. It seemed to me that the lighting is coming from the star she is reaching for, the wishing star, the future spotlight. |

Treeby SonifoComment by Spork99: I like the suble tones of the background and the way the image is composed on it. It reminds me of a fossil plant. |

Treeby SonifoComment by ursula: Beautiful textures, beautiful shadow! I wonder if cropping just a bit tighter would change it much. Love the colours of the stonework. ~8 |

Gazing...to be a Star!by SonifoComment by Gringo: This is a stunning pose (Your subject is darling)
I like that you opted to keep everything in focus here. (not easy in the low light).
Im not sure if I care for the grain on this one. It has me wondering if it is intentional.
I see grain in my shots if I use an ISO 800 in the dark with a fast shutter speed. I find I can improve considerably at a ISO 400 at a longer exposure in most cases, but both of these settings would be difficult to shoot the subject as you have here, without blur. I'm looking forward to seeing your settings for this shot.
This is a difficult shot and excellent composition one of my favorites for the challenge. 9
