Feeding Time at the Zooby splidgeComment by Frankie_Lv: Hi David,
A close-up head shot would have been awsome here with the flighing meat, the pinned ears and the meat hanging from the mouth. I have done this same thing countless times trying to capture the beauty of the entire animal when a head shot would have been better. |

Life Cycleby splidgeComment by klstover: -Critique Club-
Focus is very nice, as are colors and lighting. However I think personally the lack of balance here really detracted from enjoyment of the image. The two large circles being on the left and middle, and the small one on the right, just feels unbalanced. I do understand that you could not really have put the small one in the middle, due to the storyline of the dandelion. Maybe have the large ones on top left and top right, and the third image presented larger, down below the other two?
I do like how each picture seems like the dandelion was presented from the same angle. That goes a long way toward making this seem real. I have seen other entries where it was obvious the three images were of different objects, but it was meant to look like the same object at different times. The fact that yours isn't like that helps me believe that this is a "life cycle" and not just a bunch of flowers. |

A "high whisk" game of hide and seek...by splidgeComment by ursula: Hello from the Critique Club
This is a beautiful image, very creative, it relies on a gentle hint for it's impact. It definitely meets the challenge. It also tells a story, a whimsical story at that, somewhat funny, somewhat scary - IMO this is wonderful photography.
From a technical point of view, I don't see anything wrong with it. The exposure is spot on, the colours are vibrant without being overdone, it is sharp without being oversharpened.
From an artistic point of view, the composition is very good, as is the presentation.
I'm trying to come up with something that might be helpful for you, and all I can think of is, "Keep up the good work!" |

Feeding Time at the Zooby splidgeComment by annig: nice kitty....given the title, closer capture of the face and teeth would have had more impact, although those back claws are pretty impressive |

Feeding Time at the Zooby splidgeComment by Ben: Great snapshot, but that is what it feels like. I think a tight crop of the tigers head, chomping the meat off would have been more exciting. |
