Hopefully I won't get too many DNMCs here - the salt and pepper pots are clearly kitchenware, as is the whisk (ok, so it's not technically in the shot, but you could say it dominates the composition!).

Lightroom: RAW conversion, some curve adjustments
PSE5: Selective levels on the whisk shadow, USM to enhance contrast then resize, sharpen, border, SFW.

Hello from the Critique Club

This is a beautiful image, very creative, it relies on a gentle hint for it's impact. It definitely meets the challenge. It also tells a story, a whimsical story at that, somewhat funny, somewhat scary - IMO this is wonderful photography.

From a technical point of view, I don't see anything wrong with it. The exposure is spot on, the colours are vibrant without being overdone, it is sharp without being oversharpened.

From an artistic point of view, the composition is very good, as is the presentation.

I'm trying to come up with something that might be helpful for you, and all I can think of is, "Keep up the good work!"

It took me awhile to notice the egg. I was too focused on the shadow. Clever though.

I like how you incorporate the whisk without actually having it in the photo, it makes the shot more interesting

Hmmmm... the stuff in the background and the shadow don't really compliment each other. Instead, they compete for the eyes' attention. But the composition and balance are very nice!

The shadow is so much more suggestive and effective for the theme of the photo than the actual whisk would of been. Excellent vision and execution in creating this photo!

The shadow of the whisk is a cool idea but I think the light and shadow is too harsh on the s&p shaker and egg.

cute! i love the idea, and it's really well executed. something feels off to me about the composition, though. i can't quite put a finger on it. not sure, but i think i want the whisk's shadow to be more looming, somehow.
