Loveby epescalaComment by CKYidiot: I love it. Just the right amount of contrast in my eyes. I like the focus on the toes and not the tattoo, but enough of the tattoo that I'm not just stuck on the toes. I want a copy. |

"1575" or "What Remains"by epescalaComment by colorcarnival: I probably won't be giving you too much more insight beyond what was already said here. I gave this a 6 during the challenge. I loved how the bushes and the building had close to a very faint painterly effect. And the sky is beautiful! I think I would have scored it higher if the building had more pop or contrast to make it jump out of the picture. |

Group Portraitby epescalaComment by Caravela: you have a wonderful and uncanny ability to interpret themes in a very fresh and unorthodox way! Won't be long before we see you winning ribbons left, right and centre! :-) |

"1575" or "What Remains"by epescalaComment by impilot: I basically like the composition, but think that two things could make this image better. First, more aggressive cropping, especially the right side/bottom right corner of the photo. the modern building and telephone wires on the right are distracting (IMO) from the rest of the image. The second things is that building does not stand out....maybe it needs stronger lighting or Photoshop work? |

"1575" or "What Remains"by epescalaComment by OmanOtter: I like the composition of the shot. To me, the verticle lines are nicely based on the foundation of the horizontal line of the bushes. But, for me, the subject isn't interesting. It's just sort of a big block of stone. I like beautiful scenery or interesting cultural shots or nature shots the most. For me, the only thing interesting about this particular piece of architecture is the fact that it was built almost 500 years ago. But, the structure itself is not. You probably took the best picture that could be taken of it. |

Loveby epescalaComment by Love6: beautiful choice- i like how you used the light to accentuate the curves of the foot/feet the black of the tattoo is eye-catching and i like the shapes you created wih the shadows (triangles) and curves (tattoo) and how they go with the overall shape and pose of the feet- nicely done :) I do wish it was a little sharper but I know that is difficult to do in high-key, I gave you a high score :) its one of the ones I really like in this challenge :) |

"1575" or "What Remains"by epescalaComment by Melethia: For being destroyed it's in pretty good shape! A very clean rendering of the structure and a nice effect (be it light or processing or both) on the bushes in the foreground. Very crisp and clear detail. Things to look at - the blur/gradient (?) in the upper left creates a sort of claustrophobic feel to me. I do like your use of blur in the lower left. The composition creates a leading line type of scenario but that line leads to the outbuilding and power lines in the lower right. It is an intriguing structure - would like to see more of it! (And you have some very interesting work in your portfolio - I love the kitty in the shower!) |
