I LOVE the selective desat, that red coat is fantastic! I'm not sure about the scratches, they blend so much into the sidewalk but they do add some interest. But definitely love your processing on the image itself!!!

I looked at this and must of messed up my original message which was - I liked your image without the scratches. I love the desaturation of this image and the use of one color. A technique I really want to try. Your overlay looked like splatteed paint and you could try softening it with the opacity control.

there is a cleanliness about this image -in spite of the graffiti - that jumps out at me. the placement of the man strolling out or home or...adds a nice humanity to the image

The sinuous vanishing point that leads to who knows where. And that place is where the viewer's imagination can travel to in your photo. A dark night can be used to guide the eye in a gentle way, is what I learn from you.

Im a little mixed on the post processing here... i like the textures created, as well as the colours, but the lighting seems unnatural, as if there is a halo around portions of the rail car.

You managed to get good balance between the dark and the light spots in this shot. The positioning of the road, relative to the shot makes for a very pleasing view.
