Exposed!by robsmithComment by vrphotos: More levels work required to bring the detail out in the logs, and a shallower DOF could have helped hold my attention on the log. |

Glassby robsmithComment by TooCool: This shot has a lot of potential. I love what you are trying here and think you almost got it. You lose a lot of detail in the top part of the glass (both the bowl part and the base) where there is nothing behind it to contrast it against. I'm sorry but I don't know how to fix this without a different background or less harsh lighting.

Glassby robsmithComment by coolhar: I think this would look better if there were more contrast between the glass and the background, and without the images reflected in the glass |

How long is a piece of string?by robsmithComment by Neuferland: Not very long with that tiny little ball! The white on white is okay on this shot, a bit blown out on the right, perhaps if you had string coming in from one side and leading out the other with the ball in the middle, filling the middle of the screen it would convey the message more? How long is a piece of string?by robsmithComment by pcody: I like the high key approach you took. The missing information is equally as important as the provided information in answering your question. Nit, more contrast to bring out how well focused the shot is. |
