Driftingby CharleneComment by Wildcard: I like it! I love that just the boat is in focus and peering at it through the oof grass. It does feel a little wide on the left to me, hmmm, maybe that adds to the casual feel. Oh the lamp on the front makes the shot for me. It looks like you had fun :D |

Driftingby CharleneComment by jonfrommk: Tomatoes for tea
Well I have to say I am shocked at how this scored. Still, bottom line is that you (and I) like it and how much fun was it taking it in the first place |

Spring's First Bloomby CharleneComment by jonfrommk: Oh wow....I cant believe I never commented on this shot.
I guess because we spoke about it before you know my views but let me reiterate, this is beautiful
I love the foreground sharpness and the gentle bokeh of the blooms in the background
As ever, your black and white conversion is stunning, such strong tonal ranges
Wonderful |

Driftingby CharleneComment by jgrieco: You'll hear this more than once - grass in front is distracting & gives a voyeuristic feel to the photo |

Driftingby CharleneComment by tootsweet: Well, kudos for using catalog/magazine paper for your toy boat. That adds some visual interest. But unfortunately, art speaks differently to different people and this just isn't speaking to me. |

4-4by CharleneComment by colorcarnival: I come to your portfolio to see if you have any challenge entries, and you don't :( so I guess I have to keep browsing the portfolio. This is very cool. You do good stuff with reflective noir-like photos. I love the woman's pose and how her face is highlighted. She looks like she's lost in a moment and you can't help but wonder what she is thinking about. Great catch. |
