Comment by Sinky:
I come back and back to this photo often. Each time, the emotions of it strike such a cord with me. It's not just about exposure, or selective desat, or colours or composition..........it's about the acquisition of independence, about little people becoming big people, about the bond between the sisters, and the emotions that underpin the phases of our lives. I guess a big part of what makes it for me, is seeing Ashley in tears, at the bottom, and imagining the story that tells, about the slice of your lives that would have happened that day. It's stunning, Charlene.......a favourite.

I love neon, interesting of you to desaturate it rather than punch it up which is the typical treatment. Nice grainy quality overall. I like the reflections behind the people, too.

OMG - this is so good, Charlene!! Absolutely brilliant - love it. What a fantastic use of reflections and lights - wow. The kicker is that he's looking right at you - or so it seems. Very intense photo and great title.

You should start doing some prints and get your stuff up on a wall somewhere. It's wasted here.

Well I like this photo and I always admire people who can take great candids because I never really feel at ease doing so. Funny shot, but more than just a 'joke' image as it has a strange hynotic kind of beauty

I did love the typo in your comments about the man with the bear!

I gave this an 8. You caught the eye of that guy behind the window. That really makes the picture.

Grrr grr grr I meant to leave a comment during the challenge. I thought this was a fun catch! I love how he's looking at you. The selective desat is cool and the location of the sign is perfect. I thought the title was funny too. Love it!

I like the journalistic feel of this shot ΓΆ€“ a bit on the dark side though.

Very nicely done! Seems like I can't say anything that hasn't already been said about it!
