Coolidge Park in Chattanoogaby TCGuruComment by SandyP: I do enjoy! When we lived in Ft. Knox, Ky, we used to go see my grandmother in Knoxville regularly. Etched in my memory is the beauty of Kentucky and Tennessee. I reeeallly look forward to seeing more of your beautiful Chattanooga :)
This is awesome!

Already?by TCGuruComment by Louis: Wow... Gorgeous!! Light is very soft and beautiful, and understated, and the shadows are creamy and natural, giving your face perfect definition. Catchlights are really wonderful (I'll bet you saw the green ring for a minute or two after taking this picture). Also what makes this for me is your classic pose, which in my opinion is sensual and enigmatic. The tonal range is gorgeous. I think there's too much at the top of the frame - I might have framed it so that you filled the frame. This might have given you an opportunity to move the camera further away, and consequently you further away from the backdrop, so that it would have fallen out of the depth of field and therefore been out of focus. You wouldn't have had to blur this in post, which for me detracts slightly, especially the feathering effect around your hair. Though it could be argued that the soft focus lends itself perfectly to this lovely lovely portrait, I would have preferred crisper focus at your beautiful eyes. But other than this, this is really GREAT! What masterly use of light... well done! |

Day-1 The Famous Dayton Courthouseby TCGuruComment by Bruce_the_Robert: I like this, and will leave the courthouse image comments to those below, which cover it well (I learned quite a bit); on the other part of the imgae, I would have liked a bit more of the sign (so I could properly see all the images) or a bit less (so I see no edges at all); the first might have been impractical due to the background (too bright), and maybe without any edges it would look out of context. Just an idea to try. |
