An interesting photo of an animal I have only seen on nature documentaries. The composition is good, and the wild flowers in the meadow add a sense of place and add appeal. The pose of the elk works well, and shows its flightiness, muscles tensed ready to go. On my screen it does look over-sharpened, and the exposure of the elk is on the dark side, but over-all I do like this photo.
