Thankfully it wasn't as expensive as it looked. I had 9 exposures to get all of these 100 dollar bills together in one photo. |

Thanks! It really didn't take much time at all. I set the entire glass layer to "lighten" which left only the highlights. It was missing the light shadow on the rim that gives it more mass so instead of meticulously using the magnetic lasso or brush tool I set the selection tool to the circle with a feather of 2 pixels and made a big selection circle whose edge matched the top rim of the glass. Then I made another circle selection pressing the option key (mac) or whatever key makes the selection negative so that it takes away from your selection. I lined its edge to the bottom rim of the glass and had a perfectly smooth curved selection of the rim of the glass without spending hours.
Long winded explanation that probably doesn't make a huge amount of sense but I try :-D Message edited by author 2009-05-20 23:03:03. |
