Nice setup - the street lamp adds a lot, and good lighting on the two road signs (especially the 'no right turn') so they're still visible. It's too bad that there's a street lamp over the 'no entry' sign. Good composition / cropping. I think the graininess adds to the image, but would like to see a lilttle more sharpness around the signs - otherwise, I like the soft focus.

talk about being in the right place at the right time. the lighting, the break in the clouds, the scale of the picture are all great. i'm rooting for you making the top 10 :)

I really like this photo. The one thing I think that could be changed is the lighting on the actual street sign, seems a bit reflective for this photo. I do like the light coming off the building it creates an effect that reminds me of how streetlights are drawn in comic books (if that makes any sense to you). The shadows are great.

This is a harmonious scene, nicely composed and photographed. For me, it captures not just the look and light of the imminent rain, but also suggests the feel and even the smell of it. Highly evocative is what it is. 7
