Travelling in Steelby e301Comment by hopelessoptimist: Great contrast and perspective. Wise choice for B&W. Also a good time of day keeping the human traffic low, although I think the main figure helps break the image up well. Might be better if the girl on the left was removed. One of my top picks. |

Refugeesby e301Comment by taterbug: An interesting concept. The b/w treatment is ok. IMO, a shot like this, of a crowd or group of people, for it to work really well, something needs to grab the viewers attention, like one person doing something, or their appearance stands out, or one person looking other than where everyone elses attention is, or something like that. Or, also, to see what they are all looking at, to draw you in, feeling part of the crowd. Something along those lines. In this shot, I'm not feeling that. To me, the people all blend together, all part of the crowd, and it doesn't seem like they are all just looking at the light, so I can't see what they are looking at, so I don't feel a connection, I'm not feeling drawn into, or a part of the image. I feel that something to grab my interest like that would greatly strengthen this photo. |
