Flying highby hajekaComment by Lydia: Simple and pretty.
Could use a bit of sharpness to the birds with a faster shutter speed, I think. |

16 - Peletonby hajekaComment by nam: I would like to have a chance at this "challenge" - I love this kind of shot.
Interesting comment from MichaelC - went back and looked and I think he's right. A grouping of three would have completed the composition very nicely. That said, I think you were lucky to get one face in focus and two in a frame |

15 - Sheepby hajekaComment by nam: My regret here is that the one out front is not the one in sharpest focus. I do love the setting, the tones, and the way he is coming out of the group toward us, creating a subtle triangle in the composition. |

Flying highby hajekaComment by ray_mefarso: oh for a third duck so it could have been that classic wall art. Could have been a bit sharper but I'm sure that's hard to do. |

Fast men, slow shutterby hajekaComment by Yo_Spiff: I was out riding with some friends Sunday morning and a speed racer type on a carbon bike whooshed by me. I kicked it up a gear and latched onto him. It lasted about 1/4 mile or so, until he realized a chubby 50+ guy on a gravel grinder was sucking his wheel. Then HE kicked it up a gear and dropped me like I wasn't even moving. I am regularly kept humble.
Extra pointage for the bikes and inspiring me to relate a story. |

16 - Peletonby hajekaComment by MichaelC: Love this as is, but would have loved it a lot more if there was just 1 more face in view. |

16 - Peletonby hajekaComment by Catherine_B: LOL, 7 seconds and 200 men? Oh if only we had those kinds of odds in my home town! Nice action shot, the viewer is drawn in and focused on the main rider, but your eye takes in the whole image.

A place to sleepby hajekaComment by VBW: What I like:
- Your camera/ editing did a great job capturing details of the birds
What I don't like:
- DOF is too shallow. In my opinion the background is fairly uniform so I would have stopped up the f/stops. That said, I've no idea how quickly the ducks were moving, so this may not have been possible but they look pretty settled in this shot.
- the poses of the ducks are too bad, as they are both looking away from the camera
Overall: Beautiful detail of the ducks but wish they were looking at the camera. |
