Great color reproduction. Super clarity in light and shadows. Crisp focus and nice crop. The dust on the black surface adds a great dimension to the whole. Impressed with DOF choice a lighting/exposure. A great macro capture for technicals. Would be hammered in challenges based on subject and a perceived lack of some redeeming underlying and unspoken message, but certainly a 6 from me in a Yellow, Rubber, Household or Tools challenge.

sigh... nothing seems to be made out of wood anymore. I've never seen plastic clothes pins before, well they are colorful. Love how the colors work with the square format.

I'm liking the background fence if your purpose is to show the relationship. Excellent detail and contrast between the links, particularly the different metals involved. As for the white spot, you could clone in and perhaps fade slightly the detail from the area to the right of the spot.
