Divorce by njsabsComment by sekarmalathy: I think the essence of the title is well brought in your image, if I have to compare it with the original... Big congrats on your ribbon, Jennifer!

Divorce by njsabsComment by Lydia: I gave this a 10. It had a lot of impact on me. :)
Yours is perfect. Your model is so good at each image she's in. You're blessed to have her... but I suspect you know that. :) |

Divorce by njsabsComment by ErinKirsten: I too think yours is better - but you are far too modest. I didn't vote but would have given this a high score as I love it! Way to go team Short!! |

Divorce by njsabsComment by vawendy: The original is definitely inferior. Without the title, I wouldn't have particularly understood the concept. It's almost more like a stage mom fighting with an agent--the eye makeup is so out of line with the story.
Yours looks like an unhappy child.
Yours is definitely better -- far superior! Congrats on a beautifully done red! |

Divorce by njsabsComment by citymars: Thanks for sharing your inspiration as well as your doubts, but really this is a superior photo. Congratulations on the ribbon. My only suggestion (pardon the nitpicking) would be to have the woman's hand and arm look more obviously female. Maybe a bare arm, or polished fingernails -- not to the point of cliche, but something so the his/her aspect is more visually apparent. |

Divorce by njsabsComment by alanfreed: I agree with the others who say that your shot is better than the one that inspired you. The girl in the other shot looks more like an adult, and your daughter's expression does a much better job of telling the story than the other girl. And I think your choice of toning works a lot better than the color used in the other shot. Congrats on the red... this was a very rare 10 from me. |

Divorce by njsabsComment by Luci11e: I also think your image is better; although I can see why the orginal image inspired you.
In your image the expression of the model seems to be more of what I think children would really feel when it comes to divorce; the hands in your image look as if they are actually pulling and the black and white makes this one really come across. |

Divorce by njsabsComment by awelsh: Agree this is better than the original for two reasons: your daughter is younger, and she is not wearing ridiculous fashion-y makeup. It looks more 'real' or 'normal'. Congratulations on the ribbon. |
