Sorry to say, but the score I agree with.

Comp not interesting, blown out whites, blacks too deep, color washed out, texture just ok, too much negative space on bottom, no movement of the eye, the dust on lens or whatever should of been edited out.

If you love the picture, that is all that matters. You present an image to an audience within a site that produces outstanding work, be prepared to be graded.

Your score is not a reflection of your work. Your score is a reflection of quality of your image.

Don't give up. Keep going.

Wow, what a beautiful dog!!! And it's a great picture if you increased the contrast and maybe went either desaturated a little or completely black and white (and clone out the piece of wood on the left). The rain is very cool.

that water tower is a lot nicer than the ones in my town (see my day 1 picture).
nice use of foreground objects to give the tower some scale.
And like jdannels said, maybe straighten the picture a little?
