Simplicityby SomeamateurComment by MelonMusketeer: This image did quite a bit better than my "Trees" entry, so I am not really qualified to say much about it.
I do like the sky when it is this colorful. I would have tried to get the blue a little lighter to balance the oranges in the clouds. The birds are good, they add some life to the image. |

Simplicityby SomeamateurComment by bdenny: I think it's great. The colors are excellent. The very bottom right section is a bit distracting but that's okay. It's still a very nice image! |

Dead Tree in Lake Bonnieby SomeamateurComment by lowonenergy: Very nice photo, the top looks like desert / salt landscape, but when you look down you see the nice ripple's of the water :)
Black&White conversion is a good choice, make's it more dramatic.
Too bad the full reflection isn't shown on the water surface :)
Greetings

That's Performance Drivingby SomeamateurComment by Nuzzer: Hi from the Critique Club!
Composition: The first thing that strikes me here is that you have broken one of the rules about composition and you have put your subject in the middle of the frame. I guess you did this so that it is "framed" by the two industrial buildings? I don't think that was needed. What would be better is to have the car to the left so it looks like it was driving through the shot.
Technical: The illusion of the car on the pipe is cool. For DPC it isn't so obvious without reading the notes. I suggest you imply this in your title for the voters eg: "You take the road, I'll take the pipe!"...or something like that. The lighting feels a bit flat, some added contrast may help the shot. If you have photoshop try playing with the Levels and Contrast adjustments on each image and see if it makes an improvement. Other editing packages will have equivalents.
Feel: The idea of the car on the pipe is cool but the overall feel of the shot is a bit flat.

That's Performance Drivingby SomeamateurComment by raish: Right then, joke's on me as I now have to plough through 564 images and bump them all (yes, all of them) up. There'll be a third run through for fine tuning. It's day two now and I'm running late, sorry.

Analogue Mobiletrapby SomeamateurComment by BAMartin: *Critique Club*
FIRST IMPRESSION: The lighting on this seems rather flat. I think the use of a flash was not in the best interest of the image. Sometimes a little bit of shadowing tends to give the image a more 3 dimentional feeling.
CHALLENGE: You have met the cell phone part of the challenge, but as most of your commenters pointed out, you are missing a person.
TECHNICAL: I guess this just seems too flat to spark much interest from most of the voters.
CONCLUSION: A very cute idea, but the execution leaves a little to be desired. We have all posted challenge entries like this. Please take this as a learning tool, and get back in there and enter again and again.
Thanks for sharing and good luck in future challenges!
