I agree with the ground being kinda drab and dark. The sky overwelms this picture. On the other hand is this what the scene really looked like? Are you going for a acurate representation or a doctored up fake dpc look?

- nice reflections but i would moved myself much more to the left so the little pond would be more in frame
- the grass has interesting color but it's too dark, some HDR'ing would make this photo much better
- this goes for coulds too, or simply use some burning tool to "burn" them :-)
- clone out the gray pole/stick on the right
- the frams does not fit the colors and overall photo feel, pure white or classic black with white/gray stroke would be better

please remember this is just my opinion and i'm no expert whatsoever :-)

okay, i usually like this kind of SF photos but with this one it's difficult to see that this is maybe a light bulb (i presume)

- what postprocessing did you do on this photo ?
- did you zoom in during exposure ?
- composition is weird, don't you think ?

As previously commented, some more light on foreground will help. Also I think you can improve upon the sky.. the sky is at the same level from start to the top.. i would have preferred a gradient with the top getting darker

I agree with BAMartin - of course thit only makes sense that BA and TC Martin would be on the same page. You have some nice drama here and there is more overall interest than the other shot. You have some nice lines that COULD be used to take me where you want me to go. I agree that the foreground is too dark and lacking of texture. The four white objects or peices of debrs and the post are distracting. Possibily a lower angle and closer to soem foreground plants could really make this shot that much better. I like the balance created by the foreground reflection and the pond in the middle interests me. Again, what is it here that you want me to see? Use your shore line to take me there.

I like the photo. You have done a good job with dynamic range for a light bulb so to speak, i.e. there is detail in the key darker areas of the object. I also like that you have removed all other background components. The feature itself is detailed enough to hold your attention without having to seperate it from other components. The only thing I ask here is why am I looking at this? What is it you are wanting me to see? You did well with it, but I am not sure if in a collection of other photos that I would pick this out to view and come back to it.

This is a very dramatic landscape. I love the sky and the reflection in the water. I wonder if there might be a way to bring out a bit more of the detail in the foreground without losing the drama of the sky. The textures are wonderful. Nicely captured.
