Photos with the main subject(s) in silhouette often do not work for me, and this fits in that category. It's a personal preference, and here the silhouette is light enough to allow some whites to show, but not much more. That the horse is behind the fence is very difficult to pick up, but seems relevant to the subject matter (and the challenge).

the horse takes away from the theme here, good photo of horse and rider, but not what contest asked for...IMO
