Secretsby TimTamComment by NiallOTuama: Funnily enough, I think that this is an amusing image because it suggests to me that folk look at a woman's breasts rather than her face. From a guy's perspective it might very well be the case, so I laugh with it.
Probably not your intent, but fitting for a portrait. |

WOO-HOO!! We've finally done it, Jenkins! We've taken 'the cake'!!!by TimTamComment by Purple_Girl: The pink thing in the background is a bit distracting, I'd have moved it before taking the shot or desatruated it during editing but overall, I really like this, it made me chuckle. Nice and crisp, cool little characters; it totally says celebration to me, since the little man on top looking like he's cheering, as well as the presence of cake. Cake is great for celebrating. Mmm..... cake. |

Secretsby TimTamComment by bassbone: Very artful stuff, but not your typical classic portrait, so I fear this is why it was not scored highly by most in voting. I think most folks (not all and clearly not those who left very positive comments on your photo) feel that portraiture is about the face and eyes, and the shot you produced with the very pretty model lit from the back and side does not provide much of either the face or the eyes. |
