Is that a velvet backdrop? I can see a bit of it's texture. Maybe bringing up the shadow tones a touch in levels would have fixed it. Fun idea. Fly away cup LOL

I'm amazed this got under six. don't let that get you down though. excellent capture. fantastic expression captured. love the use of negative space. love your title. love the lightin. the shot screams of music to me, which is incredible as there is no musical instrument in here.
