One would have always have to try very hard in order to ribbon on a free study, but people freely give good scores in them in comparison to one of the themed challenges. scarbrd's photo has more eye appeal because of both the angle at which it was taken (eliminating uninteresting background) and the visual "pop" of his post-processing. Wonderful concept and awwww-factor!

ok....are you guys ready? is everyone sitting down? have you put the kids to bed? here is the story:THERE IS NO FREAKIN STORY!!!! lol seriously we were out shooting in Tacoma and I just really like the underside of the bridge as a backdrop, i liked the randomness of someone all made up standing under a bridge in the inner city. when i was getting these comments during the voting i was thinking "man, if this was one of those bizarre ads in vogue magazine people would think the photographer was brilliant"
As for the title, it was just the first thing that came to mind, basically just the two main elements in the shot, thats all :)
