A bit of haloing, but it kind of gives it an interesting surreal look. (Would probably get killed in a challenge for that.) My wife and I visited this on our honeymoon. I climbed to the top, she elected to wait below for me. It was fun even by myself.

Selective desat is one of those things that sometimes works but more often doesn't. It's also a matter of taste. I don't think it works well for this scene - you lose the peacefulness of it because to me the desat is a bit jarring. Does that make sense?

Of your three edits, this is the one I prefer because you've brought out the colors well without overdoing them. A good strong crop, pleasing serene scene!

You've really made the tower stand out nicely, but perhaps just a bit TOO nicely! The blur on the sky and forground is a bit strong to the point it looks unnatural. I think the work to isolate the color is strong enough to create what you're after, and maybe just a little bit of blur.

A good solid edit. In viewing the original, I like the inclusion of the kettle, but see that you cropped in part to get rid of the other tourists. If you are comfortable with cloning, you could get rid of them that way and keep more of the original image. This edit, though, brings out the details in her clothing better than the larger image would.
