they're both excellent photographs .. i've always loved deer for their beautiful faces and huge gorgeous eyes .. never seen one in real life tho .. !!

its amazing the shallow depth of field ..
i've noticed it when i take macro shots .. especially at f2.8 .. you can see the line of focus on the leaf .. its so shallow .. 2mm tops which probably equates to less than 1/8" .. great how you lined up the focus 'line' to go with the robberfly .. i love robberflies to photograph, but there arent many insects around right now being winter .. its a bummer .. !!.:)

i'm confused by the 15second exposure tho .. ?? .. i would'v thought the shutter speed would be a lot slower than that .. i notice f16 .. my brain cant compute a 15 second exposure and the appearance of the fireworks .. ?? ..:).. i'm not very knowledgeable about the long exposure photography .. :)
