I've seen them in flocks like this. My husband phase3 and I found some late one afternoon in the Holopaw area. We took some photos but his came out better.

Oh, that must be a baby. Did he have relatives nearby? Some of them summer at the DC zoo every year; they even leave a large outdoor enclosure empty just for them to gather in.

The biggest birds I see flocking are crows, and never in this quantity. Your flocks are way cooler than mine!

That is quite a flock. It is interesting to learn about the habits of exotic wildlife from someone familiar with them.
